Course Overview

Spatial transformations, forward/inverse kinematics (DH parameters), Jacobians, robot dynamics, actuators, and ROS 2. Curriculum Structure & Core Modules: • 1. Introduction to Robotics: Classifications, Degrees of Freedom (DoF), Workspaces, and Industrial Applications • 2....

What You'll Learn

  • Formulate 3D spatial transformations using rotation matrices, Euler angles, and homogeneous transformation matrices.
  • Derive forward kinematics equations for multi-joint serial manipulators using the Denavit-Hartenberg (DH) convention.
  • Solve inverse kinematics problems using geometric and algebraic analytical approaches.
  • Compute manipulator velocity Jacobians to identify kinematic singularities and static force transmissions.
  • Develop robot control nodes and publish/subscribe sensor messages using the Robot Operating System (ROS 2).

Requirements

  • Completion of CPE 311 and CPE 212.

The PAMCET Learning Team is the institutional curriculum and content group behind course publishing on this platform. PAMCET (Professional and Academic Management Centre for Education and Training) is operated by Digitpen Hub Ltd, a company registered in Lagos, Nigeria. Courses credited to the PAMCET Learning Team are structured, organized, and published centrally by the platform rather than authored by a single named individual instructor — each course's syllabus, learning outcomes, and content are reviewed before publication under this institutional account.
