What You'll Learn
- Perform pneumatic otoscopy and anterior rhinoscopy using head mirror and nasal speculum.
- Perform and interpret Rinne and Weber tuning fork tests to distinguish conductive from sensorineural hearing loss.
- Manage severe epistaxis systematically: resuscitation, anterior nasal packing, and posterior Foley catheter packing.
- Diagnose and manage acute tonsillitis, peritonsillar abscess (quinsy), and retropharyngeal abscess.
- Recognize acute upper airway obstruction, stridor, and describe emergency indications and steps for tracheostomy.
